How to make an orthotopic model of ovarian cancer in mouse?
Since two ovaries of a mouse are very tiny, it's impractical to inject tumor cells into them. Even only 5 ul of tumor cell suspension are used to inoculate, most of the tumor cells will leak into peritoneal cavity. So in reality, intraperitoneal inoculation of ovarian cancer cells is commonly used to make orthotopic models of ovarian cancer. Please see
