How to do Intradermal (ID) Injection?

Materials:

A 27-gauge or smaller needle
A 1-cc syringe
70% ethanol
Material injected

Methods:

1. Properly restrain a mouse.
2. Scrub the skin with 70% ethanol.
3. Insert a 27-gauge or smaller needle into the layers of skin with a very small angle, as soon as the bevel of the needle tip is completely covered by the skin, stop advancing the needle immediately to avoid penetrate the whole skin layers and then slowly push the plunger of the syringe.
4. A well-localized bleb was a sign of a successful injection. Resistance should be felt as the injection is made.
